About Us
The OCDE Alcohol and Other Drug (AOD) Prevention Team is funded by the OC Health Care Agency - Alcohol and Drug Education and Prevention Team (ADEPT). We provide presentations to our educational communities with the goal of encouraging healthy life choices.
Our Services
Offered in Ocean View School District and Santa Ana Unified School District, this multi-session, evidence-based curriculum is focused on strengthening students' health literacy by providing essential information on the risks of substance use while developing their skills around decision making, stress management, peer pressure, and more. Available in-person or virtual, with age-appropriate versions for 3rd, 4th, 5th or 6th grade students.
This one-hour workshop is designed to provide an overview of current drug trends, risk, and protective factors, as well as equip parents with the knowledge, skills, and strategies to identify and prevent youth drug use. Available in English or Spanish, in-person or virtual with flexible scheduling.
Resources
This publication is intended for district and school staff. Content includes an brief overview of current drug trends, information about "protective factors" that can promote positive and healthy choices, and a variety of substance use prevention resources to share with students and families.
