CHEP Classes, Field Trips, and Events

Welcome to our updated Class, Field Trip and Event page.  We hope you will find it useful and that you will check out all of the wonderful opportunities we have planned to support your student and family!  Remember that even though each site has its own link, you are welcome to attend classes and events at any of our three sites!

In addition to our site classes and events, please be sure to look into these ALL-CHEP Special Activities and Opportunities:
CHEP EXPO & Variety Show 2019 - Save the Date! Tuesday, March 26, 2019 4pm-8pm at OCDE Building D. Student projects, talent, author's faire, birds of prey, food, fun, and more! Check out the flyers at your site for more details!
The Mousetrap Car Race- "How far will it go?" contest is back!
TK-8th Graders
Tuesday, March 26th
Contest begins at 5:30 p.m.
Calling all future engineers, scientists, and builders! Our EXPO contest this year features the return of the mousetrap car. We will test student mousetrap car projects outdoors to find the long distance winner (lower grade and upper grade). Mousetrap cars may be made from kits or from scratch. The car must be powered by a single standard sized mousetrap (no rat traps). It cannot have any additional energy sources beyond the mouetrap spring. Parents may help with projects, especially if tools are used, but all designs should be student generated. Entry forms with all directions will be available at the sites in January.
Team America Rocketry Competition - (6th - 8th grade) Check with your CHEP teacher for information.
