Crisis Response Network
The Orange County Department of Education Crisis Response Network (CRN) supports Orange County school communities before, during and after a crisis.
For almost 25 years, CRN has helped schools prepare for and respond to incidents that may significantly affect students, staff and families. These may include the death of a student or staff member, an unexpected loss or another critical incident affecting the school community.
CRN brings together trained professionals who provide consultation, planning assistance and trauma-informed recovery support upon request. Services are coordinated with school and district leadership and are tailored to the unique needs of each school community.
Crisis Response Network (CRN) Mission
The mission of the Crisis Response Network is to build countywide capacity for schools to respond to crisis events in a structured, effective and compassionate manner.
Through training, consultation and coordinated support, CRN equips school and community professionals with the knowledge and resources needed to support students, staff and families before, during and after a crisis.
