Family and Community Engagement
OCDE Family and Community Engagement (FACE) supports Orange County schools, districts and charters in moving from family involvement to meaningful, sustainable partnership. Research shows that strong family-school partnerships are associated with improved academic achievement, attendance, student well-being, and stronger school communities. Through tiered professional learning, technical assistance, communities of practice, and seasonal networking opportunities, we build the capacity of educators and partners to strengthen relationships with families and connect engagement to student learning.
Our countywide networks bring schools, family leaders, and community organizations together to align resources, share promising practices, and better support Orange County students and families.
We also explore the role of family and community engagement as it aligns to Community Schools, MTSS and is an LCAP state priority.
