The Orange County “Schools Reinventing Counties” Minecraft Education World is an interactive Orange County world featuring Fullerton, Anaheim, Huntington Beach, Santa Ana, Irvine, and San Juan Capistrano. As students explore each city, they encounter NPC's who introduce real-world community challenges. Students investigate these issues, apply content-specific California Education Standards, and use Minecraft Education to design creative, evidence-based solutions.

Schools Reinventing Counties aims to: 

• Connect student learning to authentic community issues and future career pathways.
• Strengthen leadership, communication, teamwork, and career-readiness skills through project-based learning experiences.
• Empower students to become advocates for healthier communities through civic engagement and creative problem-solving.

Build challenges are designed to align to the following:

• Health Education Content Standards and Framework
• California's Career Technical Education Model Curriculum Standards
• California's Environmental Principles & Concepts (EP&C's)
• California State Seal of Civic Engagement (SSCE)
• California History-Social Science Content Standards

Please note: Minecraft Education is available for trial by anyone, but full participation requires a license. These must be assigned by your district IT administrator via the Microsoft 365 admin center. Student accounts must be active and properly licensed to access the world.
