Grants and Funding
The Office of Grants and Funding team provides support and technical assistance to OCDE staff and partners desiring to secure funding for new and existing programs. Funding Development Services include: securing approvals for OCDE endorsements, coordination of proposal development, grant writing, Request for Proposal (RFP) consultation, facilitation of the OCDE approval process, funding opportunity research, and a searchable database of grant opportunities.
Supports and Strategies
- Research and inform partners of viable funding opportunities
- Collaborate to develop service models, budgets, and evaluation plans in alignment with grant goals
- Guide programs in creating compelling grant narratives that share their story and spotlight diverse voices
- Provide guidance and technical assistance to educational partners to ensure funding success
- Align proposals with organizational strategic priorities, program goals, and funding opportunities
- Provide a structured process, resources, and tools to ensure a smooth writing, submission, and implementation process
- Facilitate cross-unit and cross-sector collaboration in grant development
- Facilitate productive communication between internal and external OCDE partners
- Provide funding to educational partners to support innovative practices that improve student outcomes through the Innovation Funding Initiative
- Guide and support OCDE programs in pursuing funding from diversified sources
