Welcome to Connections at Golden West College- Adult Transition Program

Thank you for visiting Connections at Golden West College! The Adult Transition Program is located in Huntington Beach, with our classroom nestled on the Golden West College campus. This location provides opportunities for our students to interact and integrate with peers of the same age. We are honored to serve students with extensive support needs between the ages of 18 and 22.

At Connections, we believe every student deserves a learning environment where they feel safe, valued, supported, and empowered to reach their full potential. We work closely with families, local school districts, and neighboring districts throughout and beyond Orange County to provide individualized educational programs that meet each student's unique needs, strengths, and goals.

Our dedicated team of teachers, paraeducators, and support staff is committed to creating meaningful learning experiences that promote academic growth, independence, communication, and lifelong success. Using research-based practices and a student-centered approach, we strive to ensure that every student can learn, grow, and thrive.

Connections at GWC also prepares students for life beyond the classroom. Through access to college courses, Community-Based Learning, Career Technical Education, and partnerships with local businesses, students gain valuable real-world experiences that help build confidence, independence, and future opportunities.

We recognize that families are a vital part of each student's success. We value strong home-school partnerships and are committed to working together to support every student's educational journey. Our goal is to ensure that students are prepared for meaningful post-school opportunities and equipped with the skills needed to lead fulfilling and productive lives.

As the Principal of Connections at Golden West College – ATP, I am delighted to welcome you to our community. It has been my privilege to serve families in this area for more than 25 years, and I continue to be inspired by the resilience, growth, and accomplishments of our students each day.
