Our Mission

The Orange County Department of Education’s (OCDE) Business Services Division is dedicated to advancing fiscal integrity, operational excellence, and positive educational outcomes across Orange County’s public education system. Through a collaborative structure that integrates System Support and Specialized Guidance, OCDE provides districts with the knowledge, tools, and resources needed to effectively manage educational policies, meet complex fiscal requirements, and serve all students with excellence and accountability.

Our Work

At the heart of this work are OCDE’s specialized teams in Fiscal Oversight, District Accounting, Payroll Compliance, Retirement Reporting, Unemployment Insurance, Accounts Payable Disbursements, Local Control and Accountability Plan (LCAP) support and oversight, and District Systems Support. Together, these interconnected service areas ensure that local educational agencies (LEAs) operate with transparency, efficiency, and full compliance with state and federal regulations.
