This course prepares students to pass the Certified Nursing Assistant State Certification exam. In the class, students will learn how to deliver direct patient care related to geriatric and/or chronically ill patients. Topics covered include anatomy and body systems, medical terminology, technology, vital signs and workplace skills. Students will certify in CPR. Worksite training experience will take place at local medical/care facilities.

Documentation/Medical Requirements: At the time of registration, prospective students must present both of the following original documents to the registrar: 1) Valid California ID/Drivers License or a US Passport 2) Social Security Card (No photo copies) Registration Considerations: Course enrollment is limited to 15 students and students will be registered on a first-come, first-served basis. Only those students who have passed the Pre-entrance Assessment testing and have all necessary documentation will be enrolled.
