* FSM A160- Students must receive 54 hours of instruction on Sanitation & Safety and submit documentation that they have taken the ServSafe Exam (passing the exam is desired, but not required.)

Orange Coast Community College

The CTE Transitions process is called Technical Advanced Placement (TAP) at Orange Coast College.

TAP Placement Process

1. Student completes articulated course at high school or ROP

2. Student applies to OCC

3. Student brings official high school transcript to OCC counselor to have Petition for Credit signed off by counselor.

4. Student presents copy of form and official HS transcript to the Office of Faculty Services at OCC on the first floor of Watson Hall.

5. Admissions office processes the TAP petition for credit.

6. Student contacts Admissions & Records office to have credit posted on official transcript when student has completed at least 12 units with a minimum of 2.0 GPA, with at least one course in the articulated pathway.

*For students to be concurrently enrolled in high school and college, they must complete the OCC Early Start Petition
