<>Medical Core I & II Cost: $250
This course introduces students to jobs in the medical field and to standards required of workers in the field including the ethical and legal responsibilities, safety, medical terminology, human anatomy and physiology, body systems and mechanics, standard precautions and health and fitness. Students will learn about health care delivery systems, regulatory agencies, research, current technology, and socio-economic issues affecting health care. Also included is the study of human growth and development, and a reinforcement of the math and computational skills needed for health care professionals. Students gain practical hands-on experience in Vital Signs, Emergency Medical Care, First Aid and CPR. (There is an additional charge for CPR card which will be collected once class begins.)
Successful completion of this class is required in order to enroll in the Medical Back Office I class.
