The Business Services staff acts as a liaison between the various state departments, agencies, and local
school districts. The staff provides technical, advisory, and consultant services to school districts,
community college districts, and other county agencies in matters relating to accounting and budget
control, administrative systems implementation (software), attendance reporting, district boundary
changes, elections, finance, payroll, revenue limit calculations, review of district audit reports, tax
reapportionments, vendor payment audits, etc. Business Services also provides accounting, budget and
financial reports, child nutrition, facility construction and planning, payroll, purchasing and contract
services, reprographics, and transportation services for the schools and programs that are operated by
the Orange County Department of Education.
