Mobile Devices as Text Books

Historically, many students with special needs have struggled to have access to text books to assist in instruction. As tablet devices have evolved, teachers are now able to enhance joint attention, assist students who have visual or fine motor impairments, and other critical learning skills through the use of this technology.

Within the OCDE Touch2Learn program, many instructors use tablet devices to illustrate key lessons.  In some instances, these devices are used in conjunction with a television, LCD projector, and/or other technology with the hope of further promoting educational concepts.
