When will prices of the vendor products be made available? 

​All prices of the vendors' featured products will be available online on or before November 4, 2015.


Who is eligible to apply for the loan?

Current employees of eligible school districts and OCDE who have NetPay (or direct deposit) may apply for the 0% credit-qualifying loan through SchoolsFirst FCU.

Retired teachers, friends and family members are not eligible for the SchoolsFirst FCU loan. However, they are welcome to take advantage of the below-educational discounts.

*Some private school employees are eligible but must have net deposit with SchoolsFirst FCU.

What happens if my total purchase is over $2500?

If you are taking advantage of the SchoolsFirst FCU loan, you will need to pay for the difference at the time of purchase. Loans over $2,500 are available on approved credit, but you must contact the Credit Union for details. 


Can I purchase a computer or other product that is not listed on the OCDE website?

Yes, all computers and products available through the selected vendors will be eligible for the special loan. 


Can I obtain a SchoolsFirst FCU loan, and purchase my computer from a retail store or other non-selected vendors?

No, you must apply your SchoolsFirst FCU loan towards a computer purchased through the Technology Purchase Program selected vendors. Once the loan is approved, a copy of your purchase order will be required for funding. Funds will then be deposited into your account. ​


I plan to only purchase peripherals and software, can I obtain an SchoolsFirst FCU loan?

Yes, it is possible to request a loan for products other than computers from participating vendors. Please speak with the SchoolsFirst FCU to discuss details.


May I purchase more than one computer through this program?

Yes, you may purchase as many computers as you want. However, the maximum loan amount is $2,500. You must pay for the difference at the time of purchase. Loans over $2,500 are available on approved credit, but you must contact the Credit Union for details.


I found the same computer elsewhere for less, why is that?

While the Orange County Department of Education (OCDE) has negotiated the best price possible for the configurations listed, we cannot guarantee that these prices are the lowest possible for the duration of the Technology Purchasel Program. Sales promotions arranged by specific retailers are beyond the department's control.


How Do I Get My Products? 

Apple (Crywolf) - You can arrange for items to be shipped to you, pick up items at OCDE on preset delivery dates, or you may pick up items in their store: 7634 Clairemont Mesa Blvd., San Diego, CA 92111, 858.277.9653.

Dell - Items will be shipped to you.

Samy's Camera - Some items can be purchased at the Preview Center or picked up at the store, 3309b S. Bristol St., Santa Ana, CA  92704

Sehi Computer Products - Items will be shipped to you.

Please note: it takes approximately 1-3 weeks * for ground shipments. (*If you purchase a Dell computer and pay by check, you can expect a longer shipment period. This is due to the lenghty check-clearing process with the vendor.) You should always contact the vendors directly, if you have any questions regarding your shipment.
