The workshop will focus on providing instruction on legal  requirements, roles and responsibilities, and an overview of  the materials needed to successfully support DELAC and  ELAC both at the school and district level. Participants will  receive templates for establishing bylaws, minutes, and  agendas. All templates and presentations will be provided in  English and Spanish. Participants will also receive a copy of  The Administrator’s Guide to English Learner Advisory  Committees, by School Innovation and Advocacy.

 Guiding Your Child to College - Trainer of Trainers

The training session will focus on the importance of a college  education and breakdown barriers and myths about  residence, finances, academics, and how your child can get  there. We will also provide information on academic  requirements and financial opportunities. Materials are in  English and Spanish.

School Site Council & Title I Advisory

This workshop will help identify the roles within SSC and ELAC committees as well as how these  committees link. Participants will receive information about the requirements of each committee and  how to determine their success while accomplishing the multiple tasks assigned to them.

Parent-Teacher Conference Trainer of Trainers

This training focuses on providing tools and resources to support parent education on the topic of teacher conferences. The workshop is intended to train district and school representatives so that they may provide their own trainings locally.  Participants will learn how to engage parents and support academic dialogue, goal setting, progress monitoring, and conversations between parents and teachers.
