On May 28, at Chapman University in Orange, 450 middle and high school PAL students and their advisors participated in our secondary PAL conference The morning started with a presentation from the Laguna Beach PAL group about their Tobacco Prevention Campaign.  Students were inspired by Dee Hankins, our keynote speaker. PAL leaders participated in a variety of workshops on topics such as growing as a leader, mindfulness, traffic safety advocacy, debunking the myths about e-cigarettes, and finding your internal compass. PAL students were encourage by Jennifer Adams', former Wheelchair America, to discover their identity and change the world through kind words and actions. This was a day of learning new leadership skills, meeting other peer leaders, and celebrating the hard work of PAL students across Orange County and beyond.
