Parents of Currie Middle School students received a lesson on drug use prevention on February 16, 2012, when an Officer from the Tustin Police Department came to their campus. This event was hosted by the Vice Principal, as well as the Currie Middle Club Live (CL) Chapter. Parents learned what drugs are most prevalent amongst middle school students, as well as what the drugs look like, and what parents can do if they suspect that their teen is using drugs. CL members helped prepare the school for the event and passed out flyers and snacks. In addition, CL chapter members delivered a presentation about their club, and shared the positive youth development projects they are doing in their school and community.
