Bolsa Grande High School, Garden Grove Unified School District 

On April 10, 2012, Bolsa Grande High School FNL members conducted Media Literacy trainings to six consecutive classes at Jordan Intermediate School (IS) in the Garden Grove Unified School District, reaching over 400 students. The Physical Education Department at Jordan IS arranged for their students to meet in the multipurpose room to hear the fun presentation. Presenting to 60-100 students at a time would seem daunting to anyone, yet Bolsa Grande students showed no fear! They were able to get the students to laugh, learn, and participate. After each presentation, they helped the middle school students come up with their own bubble-gum advertisement utilizing the market targeting strategies they learned. One of the Bolsa Grande High School FNL members commented, "It is hard, but it’s fun!" At the end of each class, FNL students had a question and answer segment, giving the middle school students an opportunity to ask about the high school and their FNL activities.
