​The statewide LEC Committee was established under Assembly Bill (AB) No. 2780 in 1999 to provide oversight for the SMAA program.  The committee serves as an advisory committee to the California Department of Health Care Services and meets regularly in the Sacramento area. 

The LEC Committee is composed of 11 Regional SMAA Coordinators.  The regional areas are defined by California County Superintendents Educational Services Association (CCSESA).  For technical assistance, please contact the appropriate regional coordinator.  For coordinators and the counties within their regions, click on the link below.
