The STEM and Health Sciences Unit in the Instructional Services division of the Orange County Department of Education is composed of science, engineering,
math, physical education, and nutrition coordinators, program specialists, and support staff.

STEM is a process-oriented approach, grounded in content knowledge, skills and dispositions, whose purpose is to empower all learners to participate equitably in a democratic society.
