PATRICIA BEHRING AWARD & HISTORY AWARD – INFORMATION AVAILABLE SPRING 2017!
The Patricia Behring Teacher of the Year Award recognizes outstanding National History Day teachers. Two winners, one junior level and one senior level teacher, will be selected. Each state/affiliate winner will be awarded $500 and the national winners will receive $10,000. For eligibility criteria and nomination procedures please click here.
National History Day, in collaboration with HISTORYTM, is proud to announce the 18th annual HISTORYTM Award. The award will be presented to an individual who has made an outstanding contribution to history education through service to the National History Day program. The winner of the award will receive a $5000 cash prize. For more information please click here.
LOWELL MILKEN CENTER DISCOVERY AWARD
Your NHD project could win $10,000! The Lowell Milken Center, a strong supporter of the NHD program, offers an annual competition in which NHD students across the country submit their projects for consideration in the Center's Discovery Award.
Who's eligible? Grades 6 - 12.
What categories? Documentary, Exhibit, Performance and Website.
Requirements? Projects must emphasize UNSUNG HEROES IN HISTORY.
- First Place entry will receive $10,000 along with a special recognition.
- Second Place entry will receive $3,000 and special mention on the Center website.
- Third Place entry will receive $1,000 and special mention on the Center Website.
