OCDE Executive Leadership Series

Orange County Department of Education is committed leadership development throughout the organization.  The Executive Leadership Series is designed to help managers and supervisors understand and develop critical leadership competencies. 

 

ELS Learning Objectives:

  • Managing Employees. Delegate to employees effectively, broaden employee opportunities, act with fairness toward direct reports and hire talented people for your team.
  • Change Management. Use effective strategies to facilitate organizational change initiatives and to overcome resistance to change.
  • Participative Management. Use effective listening and communication skills to involve others, to build consensus, and to influence others in decision making.
  • Functional Orientation.  Have the depth needed to understand and manage outside one’s current function.
